Search for Investments and New Partners: Serhii Morhunov Participated in the ReBuild Ukraine Powered by Energy Conference
15 November 2023, 11:35
Participants from 30 countries, including Ukrainians, joined the second ReBuild Ukraine powered by Energy exhibition and conference in Warsaw. It is dedicated to the future reconstruction of Ukraine - those infrastructure facilities that have been damaged or destroyed as a result of russian aggression. A delegation from Vinnytsia City Council, headed by Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov, presented reconstruction projects to the audience.
According to Serhii Morhunov, the projects presented are different in nature and aim to improve the quality of life in the community. This is a rehabilitation and sports complex necessary for the recovery of the military and all those with musculoskeletal injuries. It also includes the construction of a waste recycling plant, reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities, and others. Public events of this magnitude, according to Serhii Morhunov, are necessary to find new partners and investors with whom to implement these ideas.
"We are here primarily because events of this magnitude are an opportunity to establish new investment partnerships, get acquainted with donor organizations and their programs aimed at restoring our country's war-ravaged economy. This is one of the key areas of our work. We are focused on attracting external funding for projects that our community needs and that cannot be implemented at the expense of the budget," said Serhii Morhunov.
He also added that representatives of our community at the Warsaw International Exhibition communicate with representatives of various funds, investment and construction companies that are ready to participate in reconstruction projects with a focus on infrastructure, industry and energy.
"We are also looking for investors who would take on the construction of a waste processing plant and the reconstruction of treatment facilities, which must be done using innovative energy-saving technologies," says Serhii Morhunov. "Vinnytsia needs an airport for the post-war development. We intend to build an airport on the site of the one destroyed by the occupiers. Among the projects is the restoration of Peremohy Square, which is part of the larger Vinnytsia Mile project."
