Cooperation involves the exchange of experiences of pedagogical and educational practices, mutual internships of teachers and students and the exchange of groups of young people during the holidays. There is also an exchange of scientific publications, multimedia presentations and films, organization of joint cultural, sports and tourism events.
"We have been cooperating for more than a year, and everyone knows that the cities of Kielce and Vinnytsia have been cooperating for more than 60 years. Today, at the initiative of Mayor Serhii Morhunov and the Department of Education and with the consent of the Polish representatives, we are signing for the first time a declaration on cooperation with preschool education – kindergartens. This is a new area of work for us, which I am sure will be interesting and useful both for our local community and for the city of Kielce," said Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Halyna Yakubovych.
Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Vinnytsia Damian Ciarciński noted that such cooperation will benefit both communities – Kielce and Vinnytsia.
"These meetings will serve as a new link between educational institutions. I am very glad that this long-term cooperation is reaching a higher level. We are attracting different industries and more and more people. And I am confident that together we will achieve good results," Damian Ciarciński added.
Oksana Yatsenko, director of the Education Department of the City Council, said that in December 2018 in Kielce a Declaration was signed with partner schools of the Republic of Poland and five public educational institutions of Vinnytsia.
"We have always had a very good cooperation, but since 2018 it has deepened and intensified. Then we signed 5 declarations of cooperation with partner schools, next year another 6. Currently, 11 schools in Vinnytsia community have such declarations. Today, another declaration was signed with the 1st gymnasium. And for the first time we are starting cooperation with kindergartens. The document stipulates the exchange of experience in various fields: education, culture, healthcare, sports and tourism," said Oksana Yatsenko.
Educators signed a declaration of cooperation with Vinnytsia Gymnasium №1 and with preschool institutions – kindergartens №7 and 28.
"Our children are already waiting to share experiences, opinions and communicate with our foreign partners to develop new ideas and turn certain projects into reality," said Vita Skyba, director of 1st Gymnasium.
Among the representatives of the Polish delegation is Magdalena Słoma, a teacher at the Fifth Lyceum in Kielce and a coordinator of projects with Vinnytsia.
"Our institution cooperates with Vinnytsia lyceums and schools. During the quarantine we exchanged experiences online and shared teaching methods. Such cooperation gives us the opportunity to communicate and improve," said Magdalena Słoma.
Subsequently, the Polish delegation of educators visited the schools of Vinnytsia City Territorial Community.
