From Birmingham to Vinnytsia arrived humanitarian aid to ATO fighters: ten boxes of necessary medical supplies

DSC04411_JPG.jpgRecently Vinnytsia for the fourth time received humanitarian aid from the American sister city Birmingham (Alabama). These are ten boxes of medical instruments and supplies.

In September 2014, Vinnytsia City Council sent letters to its partner cities with the request to provide all possible assistance to Vinnytsia military forces, wounded and injured in the ATO zone. Birmingham, the American sister city of Vinnytsia, located in Alabama, immediately responded to the letter. On November 25th, 2014 came the first batch of humanitarian aid from Birmingham.

Recently the fourth batch of aid from the residents of Birmingham came to Vinnytsia. “People of Birmingham gradually collect medical equipment and supplies for our soldiers. And then when they arrive to Vinnytsia, we transfer them to the East along with another humanitarian relief. This time there are 10 boxes of medical instruments and supplies. They are of very high quality and will be useful in the East. Humanitarian cargo from Birmingham is not only financial support but also moral, as our soldiers feel that our friends abroad also think of them along with Vinnytsia residents," said assistant to the Mayor on international relations Olga Parvadova.

Among humanitarian aid there are systems for blood transfusion, catheters, dressing materials, disposable surgical instruments, facilities for personal hygiene and more.

Help from Birmingham was sent to ATO fighters with humanitarian cargo from Vinnytsia.
