On the City Day guests of Vinnytsia wish its residents prosperity and well-being

Every year on its birthday Vinnytsia welcomes dozens of delegations not only from all over Ukraine, but also from foreign sister cities and partner cities. Traditionally came to Vinnytsia delegation of Polish city Kielce and Lithuanian city Panevezys. This year among the honored guests were Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk, Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Mårten Hagström, Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Cristian-Leon Țurcanu.

Many visitors of Vinnytsia noted that they arrived in the city not for the first time, but every time they want to return here, because people are very friendly and hospitable.

"The previous time I became acquainted with the work of the City Council, so now my ambition is to see more of the city, to walk on its streets by foot. I have a weakness for public transport, so I am eager to see the new Vinnytsia tram and I feel that for me it will be a highlight of visiting Vinnytsia. I wish to Vinnytsia residents on their city birthday the realization of what kids in the hall of the City Council drew: Vinnytsia is a beautiful European city! And also I wish that partnership between Vinnytsia and our Canadian urban development project grow in the next years."
Panevezys is a Lithuanian sister city of Vinnytsia, and for the last few years delegation from Lithuania necessarily arrives to Vinnytsia on its birthday. "I am for the third time in Vinnytsia, and we are very fond of this city because of its hospitality. The hosts are very nice, we are greeted warmly and cordially, and we are not going to you as partners or friends, but as relatives," says the Mayor of Panevezys Rytis Mykolas Račkauskas. "There is a fantastic atmosphere, everything is beautiful. We already walked the city, saw the famous fountain. I cannot compare it with anything, I do not know anything like that in Europe. Every time we walk the city, we feel its amazing atmosphere, your people walk with their families, many young people take part in these celebrations. This is fantastic! I would like to wish you prosperity and go the same way because it is right."

I was lucky that I came on such a day. I am glad that so much is made for children. I also have children and I wish I took them with me. Next time I will be sure to take them to see it firsthand. I wish Vinnytsia development, as well as many ties with our country, especially in business and this is something that I develop work in the future as the new Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine."

Леон-Цуркану.jpgThe Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Cristian-Leon Țurcanu is also for the first time in Vinnytsia, and he came with his whole family – his wife and daughters. "It is a great honor for me and I am happy to be here. I would like to use this opportunity to wish all the best, well-being and prosperity to the city residents. Also I wish you good celebration, because it shows that people care about this city and its developing. I hope that I will be able to visit Vinnytsia again."
