Experts in the development of Denmark energy systems came to Vinnytsia to participate in a technical workshop

0000000000.jpgOn April 18, Vinnytsia mayor’s office held a technical workshop on the development of the district heating system of the city. Participating in it were representatives of Vinnytsia enterprises and their colleagues from Denmark. Foreign experts in the development of power systems shared their experiences, acquainted with the work of urban heating organizations, and talked about the strategic planning of energy system development.

In December last year, representatives of Vinnytsia enterprises operating in the district heating system for the week acquainted with the work of similar companies in the Kingdom of Denmark. One of the organizers of the cooperation, the representative of the Danish Board of District Heating Pia Zimmermann said that today’s meeting is a return visit, which is the continuation of dialogue and cooperation.1111111111111.jpg

The representative of Danish Energy Agency Anders Hasselager said that Denmark began to develop a centralized heating system from scratch in the 70s of last century, when the price of oil sharply increased several times. The country began to look for ways to optimize power consumption, and one of the steps was the construction of the district heating system, which began using excess thermal energy of energy plants. Building adequate infrastructure gave impetus to the development of the district heating system throughout the country.

According to Anders Hasselager, today the situation in Ukraine is similar, because gas prices are currently quite high, but Ukraine has an extensive district heating system that should be restored.

In general, representatives from more than 10 companies came to Vinnytsia. During the day, they exchanged experience with their Vinnytsia colleagues on characteristics of district heating systems in both countries.
